Die Geschichte
There is so much to do and see on this weekend in Bastogne. There are hikes that tour the defensive positions from December, 1944; there are operable vehicles including tanks on full display, vendors sell memorabilia and reenactors wander the streets. To cap it off, there is a parade where marching bands, active duty U.S. Army, Belgian Army and veterans march down the main street through the town.
Do you have the kit? Feel free to dress up in your best “impression” with period-accurate clothing and gear.
We recommend staying the night but you have to book months in advance because of this events popularity. If not, it’s only a 2 and half hour drive from K-Town.
Parking can get crazy so be sure to get there early.
