This well-developed bike path stretches between Kaiserslautern and Lauterecken

This bike trail starts in downtown Kaiserslautern and goes north for 34 kilometers to the town of Lauternecken. Most of the trail follows the Lauter River so there are plenty of opportunities to see wildlife. Some parts are paved with many parts hard-packed dirt so it’s good for gravel biking.

Some of the path is paved separately from roadways but some parts are dirt or gravel. This is a great route for gravel biking or touring bikes. There are not many services available on the route so bring hydration and some snackage.
