Just a short trip from Ramstein Air Base, this little lake is a great local spot for gathering, relaxing or training. Most Saturdays, Parkrun hosts a 5k run through the forest starting at the lake. Take a break from hiking, biking or running at the lake-side kiosk that offers cold and hot beverages and some basic German food. There is a great playground for the kiddos and grill pits for events. There is plenty of seating for everybody! In the spring, have fun chasing the tadpoles close to shore. You can also use their big parking lot to bring your bikes by car and hit the asphalt trail of the Barbarossa Bike Trail.
There is plenty of free parking and room for larger vehicles like American trucks!
