This place is a gem on the Südliche Weinstraße! Wander the myriad of trails in this part of the Pfalz and you can see it all: dark forests, hidden restaurants and spectacular views of the famous wine-producing region of the Südliche Weinstraße.
There is a decent sized parking lot up there. We recommend taking the so-called “Totenkopfstrasse” through the Palatinate Forest where you can white-knuckle it through the narrow road perched on the side of the mountain while dodging bikers, cars and other vehicles! This road is not for the faint of heart but something about which you can tell your friends and family at parties!
