There’s something about voltage!

We have been in the KMC for a long time. So long in fact, that we have shed our household inventory of most things 110 volts. Back in the day, most things were single voltage like TVs and computers.

Nowadays in a globalized world, many things are dual or even multi-voltage. As you know, the standard voltage here in Germany is 220 Volts AC at 50 Hz. When your household goods arrive, most of your appliances should work, but be sure to check the owners manual. Sometimes appliances with have the input voltage range on the back near where the power cable enters the appliance.

Coffee machines are usually not dual voltage, so your Kurig machine with need a transformer which sucks because it will take up even more counter space.

These devices run in all shapes and sizes (and prices). Your best move is to find them on Ramstein Yard Sales or at flea markets on base when they have them.
