Yes, Kaiserslautern has a zoo. But if you want to see a big zoo, you may have to drive a little. The city of Frankfurt has you covered for all your exotic animal needs! They have big cats, great apes and other primates as well as penguins, seals, meerkats and even bats.

Tipps für Ihren Besuch

Parking can be a bit of a pain because the zoo is located near downtown. There is a dedicated parking garage, but it’s about a half a mile away. If you go off season, during the school week, you may catch a break with nearby parking on the street. You can also take the train but that takes about 2.5 hours.
