Although not the OG–that title goes to his contemporary and mentor Oswald Boelke–he is known as the proverbial GOAT of air-to-air combat. Come pay homage to a man who changed combat forever at this humble resting place located at the Südfriedhof Wiesbaden.
There is not much parking out in front of the main entrance of the cemetary, but there is plenty of parking on the street. Remember to be respectful on these hollowed grounds.
