The Story

The town of Edenkoben (Eden’s Basket) is a beautiful town located on the southern Weinstrasse near Neustadt an der Weinstrasse.  This town has many events, but the one that gets the most visitors is the “Mandel Meile”, held when the almond trees are in bloom in the early spring.  For three weekends in March, this places see thousands of people come from far and wide.  If you missed it this year, keep your ear to the ground for next year’s event.  If you’re like us, you will visit Edenkoben multiple times throughout the year for their myriad events.

Tips for your visit

Parking can get crazy, especially if you don’t get there early enough. You can take the train to Edenkoben but the train stations is about a mile from the event. If you drive, just follow the other cars and park in the grape vines. That’s all there is to it.
