The places we post on KMCx have all been visited by us over the two decades we have lived in the KMC.  

We will take suggestions from others, however, since there is only so much time to explore!

All pictures have been taken by us with our personal camera or phones.  On the rare occasion that we use somebody else’s pictures, it will be stated in the caption.  This is especially the case with historical photos.

Yes, unless otherwise stated.  We plan on expanding beyond an hour away and we already have some locations that are further than that.  

The drive-time is calculated from Kaiserslautern.  In many cases, time will vary depending on from where you are starting.

First of all, we are not sponsored by Komoot.  It is just a web service that we use to track our hikes and what you see on the page is the hike that pertains to that location.  Komoot is free to use but they offer a paid version with more features.  This service is similar to Strava.
