Celtic Village, Steinbach

This replica of an ancient settlement is a nod to Germany’s Celtic roots

Region/City: Donnersbergkreis

The Story

The Celtic peoples of Europe were a loose collection of ancient tribes dating back thousands of years. These Iron Age cultures shared a similar language and were assimilated into Roman society in the early centuries of the first millenium. Their prints are everywhere in Rheinland-Pfalz and this replica of a Iron Age village is a standing monument to their lives.
