The capital city of Rheinland-Pfalz is no stranger to special events. Every year in May, Mainz hosts a half-marathon/10k run with thousands of participants. Follow the course through the cobblestone streets of this old city and enjoy the encouragement of onlookers and enjoy the atmosphere.
Be sure to check their website for more information and sign up as soon as they open registration because people come from far and wide to run in this town, so registration fills up quickly!
Parking can get tricky in Mainz so plan ahead. KMCx recommends parking near the main train station and it’s about a 1 kilometer walk to the start line (see pin on map above). You can pick up your race number and t-shirt the week prior (they will shoot you an email after registration) which we recommend in order to avoid the crowds on race morning.
