No stay in the KMC is complete without having experienced The Bremerhof! Mostly known for its traditional “Biergarten” with gravel floors shaded by giant chestnut trees, they also have a hotel and a restaurant. Open the season in May when they tap the keg with live traditional German big band music. Turn your kids loose at the playground on premises while you enjoy an ice cold glass of Helles or Hefeweizen. Beer not your thing? No problem, ask for a Weinschorle in a “Dubbeglas”. Enjoy great German food like schnitzel or wurstsalat while clapping along to the “oof-ta-ta” of tubas and trumpets.
In the winter, hang out in their “Almhütte” and sip on hot spiced wine.
The Bremerhof has something going on year round so check out their website.
One last thing: this place is located at the convergence of plenty of biking and hiking trails so make it a stop on your journey and be sure to check out the Humberturm just up the hill to the south.
Tips to make it enjoyable
There is plenty of parking, but during big events, KMCx recommends hiking or biking there if you live in Kaiserslautern.
