This is a place you may have driven passed many times. But one day, after seeing the Zellertal sign, you decide to take a short detail. This is the way things are sometimes discovered. Turn right (east), on B-47, you will pass by a curious structure that seems to stand guadring the entrance to the valley. Keep driving east towards the fabled city of Worms and suddenly hills full of grapevines claw their way upward on both sides of the valley. You notice a sign that says “Panoramaweg” to the left and you think to yourself, “Why not? I have a few minutes.” The road on the north side of the valley winds through ancient towns dotted with small wineries and coblestoned streets. A few minutes later, you find a monument to the fallen of the First World War and right next to it, a small turn-out to park your car. Please do so! Exit your vehicle and enjoy the view!
There is also the Zellertal Bike Route that runs through the valley. Paved and separated from the highway, this bike path is perfect for the kiddos too, no matter their means of conveyance! What better way to enjoy the scenery and greenery?
