There was too much happening in a short amount of time in downtown Kaiserslautern on this night! There are live bands all over the place: at the Alcatraz Hotel, St. Martin’s Platz, the Fruchthalle and random bars. This city is absolutely abuzz with activity. We wager that this is the busiest night all year.
Check out the Meisterschule and even learn how to chisel art out of stone under the watchful eye of their experienced teachers. Watch old school smiths make tools out of iron.
Mosey on over to the Pfalzmuseum to check out the work of local artists. After that, walk on over to the skatepark and see skaters bust out some lip tricks on the ramp. Then, head to the Alcatraz hotel for some interesting post-apocalyptic themed fun!
Head downtown and grad some food all the while enjoying the sights.
But the best part comes after dusk: the lights of the Japanese Garden. If you haven’t been here, then this is a good time to start! The whole city is full of light and life. It is a night to remember!
See the event catalog for 2026 here.
Be prepared to walk and plan what you want to see ahead of time because there is so much!
Parking downtown is limited during events like this so we recommend taking public transportation or even taking a bike.
If you take the train, you can get off at the Hauptbahnhof and walk downtown which will take about 15 minutes.
