The Story
Triathlons are those unique events that not many people know about. You may have heard about them on the street and you maybe have even seen it in the summer Olympics. Maybe you’re interested in trying it out but have no idea how to facilitate it. If you have a bike, a swimsuit and running shoes (plus base access) then you can start here!
How does it work? Well, you start swimming in the indoor 25 metere lap pool at the Ramstein Aquatic Center (RAC) and complete 400 meters by swimming up and down each lane (called “the Snake”), then run out to your bike, hop on and do the 5 kilometers around the east perimiter road to the 435th CRG. Turn around and head back to the RAC where you will dismount your bike, and don your running shoes for the final leg of 2.5 kilometers.
Sounds easy right? If you’ve got the guts, sign up when the Fitness Center advertises early in the year.
See you there!
