The Story:

Got kids? Are said kids bored? Well, worry not because the Kurpfalz Park will keep them (and you) engaged all day! They have roller coasters called Sommerrodelbahn which are basically chairs or sleds with wheels on them. They are included in the entry price so indulge as much as your nerves can take. They have a playground that looks like a pirate ship and your kids (and you!) can climb and explore until you can take it no longer. There are many places to eat but you can bring your own food. As a bonus, there is a zoo located inside the park grounds to include an aviary with falconry shows. They even have a pack of wolves where handlers will feed them at posted times.

See the official website for prices and opening hours.

Combine this trip with Wachtenburg Castle.

Tips for a Good Trip:

You can normally bring your own food (typical of amusement parks in Germany), unlike “other” parks in the States (you know who I mean). Parking is plenty but be prepared for A LOT of walking.
