The Story

There too much to say about this place but be prepared to walk and walk some more (see our Komoot map for proof). The hiking is intermediate so be sure to don proper footware and bring methods of hydration because it does get hot up there despite the altitude.

The stunning views will more than offset the aching muscles, sweat and thirst that you will surely have. When you enter the park, you will pass a warning to would-be drone operators (see picture below). You will also encounter strange rodent-like creatures that whistle at your approach. These cat-callers can be a little annoying, but just pay them no mind.

Depending on the season, the trails (which are sometimes narrow tracks) can be throning with people, even some with strollers. The main trail around the peaks is about 6 miles (see Komoot map) and you can sit down out one of the mountain houses for a cold drink and some hot food.

Enjoy!

Tips for your visit

It gets crazy crowded so make sure that you book everything, including parking, in advance. The trails are steep and no joke so make sure that you wear proper hiking shoes or boots. The trails are thronging with people from all over the world so take you time and take plenty of selfies!
